Where We Are
Design and Permitting
The Highway 41 Corridor Improvements project is in the final design and permitting phase. The project design was updated to further minimize impacts to wetlands and critical areas in early 2025 and the permit applications, Environmental Report, and supporting documentation were resubmitted to the appropriate agencies in March 2025. More information can be found on the Resources page.
Right-of-Way
Charleston County received approval on the final right-of-way (ROW) plans for Highway 41 in July 2025 and is advancing through the ROW process for the project. This includes coordinating with property owners and staking out ROW limits.
